Description

Eliminates effects of ammonia & other noxious gases produced as animal waste decomposes. Reducing these gases will improve your animals’ health, performance, & reduce damage to buildings. Inhibodor offers a safe, natural, effective, & economical solution to animal waste-associated problems.

Inhibodor binds with ammonia and reduces odors.

“A common thing we see working in hog barns is a thick crust layer in the manure pits, where flies can lay eggs and cause a big problem. My clients and I were getting frustrated working with other manure degraders because they never lived up to their claims. We began using Conklin’s Inhibodor in the manure pit of my family’s swine barn, and we observed positive results. As a result, I started recommending it to all of my clients. It helps break down the crust so flies can’t lay their eggs, helps with the smell, and after a while of using the Inhibodor, the manure pit is easier to pump out.” – Jeremy B. DVM, IA

Ammonia – an age-old problem:

Unhealthy concentrations of noxious gases are produced as animal waste decomposes. Exposure to these high ammonia levels could reduce the performance of your animals because these gases can damage animal and human respiratory tracts increasing the susceptibility to disease. Additionally, high ammonia levels kill the bacteria which ferment and decompose animal waste, resulting in an excessive growth of foul odor causing bacteria. High levels can also damage the metal and concrete in your animal buildings and improper fermentation will make your confinement pits and lagoons difficult to empty.

Inhibodor – a safe and economical solution:

Inhibodor features a concentrated extract from the Yucca schidigera plant. This easy-to-use water-soluble concentrate is so versatile it can be added to confinement pits and lagoons, sprayed onto broiler litter, or applied to bedding for horse stalls or dog kennels. It is noncorrosive to your facilities and equipment. Binding this gas in confinement pits or on litter reduces aerial concentrations for improved air quality and potentially there is less required ventilation. Reducing the ventilation can lower your heating costs during the winter. Lowering ammonia levels also aids the solid digesting bacteria for improved pumpability of waste slurry.

Drug-resistant bacteria have become a major concern in the food-producing industry. Producers are faced with providing quality healthy meat or milk without the use of drugs or antibiotics, while sick animals become weak and lower production. One way the industry ensures the health of the animals is with the use of direct fed microbials. DFMs in the gut of the animal break-down feed into nutrients better absorbed by the body as well as aid in the animal’s immunity. Click here for one such product.
